In Canada, both parents often work outside of the home. There are a number of child care options which range from informal care, where children are cared for by relatives, babysitters or nannies, to more formal arrangements like licensed child care or child care centres. Licensed child care facilities, approved family care homes, and before/after school care centres are required to meet government standards and are inspected regularly.
With the help of over 1000 submissions from children within the community and numerous community partners the County of Lambton developed the Children’s Charter of Rights.
